Residents, schools, families and community groups across North Northamptonshire are being encouraged to get involved in a week-long celebration of books, stories and reading this October.

The BIG50 Book Festival will involve a programme of free activities at venues across North Northamptonshire, helping people of all ages discover the joy of reading and storytelling.

The festival will offer a range of sessions designed to inspire a lifelong love of all things literary. Activities are expected to include storytelling sessions, author visits, shared reading circles, book-themed games, creative workshops and family reading experiences.

Taking place in a variety of community settings, the BIG50 Book Festival aims to make reading and literacy activities available to as many people as possible, welcoming children, teens and young people, parents, carers and residents of all ages.

The BIG50 Book festival begins on the 16 October. Further information about the festival programme, including venues, activities and booking arrangements, will be announced in the coming weeks through the BIG50 website and social media pages.
